This Privacy Policy describes how the RETRO SKI mobile game ("the App", "we") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and have designed the App with a minimal data footprint.
1. Information We Collect
We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on our own servers. All game progress, settings, and scores are stored exclusively on your device in the App's local storage directory. This includes:
- Your chosen 3-character player initials
- High scores and challenge completion progress
- App settings (music, sound effects, haptics, tilt steering)
This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
2. Device Sensors
The App offers an optional tilt-to-steer control mode that uses your device's accelerometer via the operating system sensor API. Sensor data is read in real-time only for the purpose of controlling the in-game skier. It is not stored, logged, or transmitted anywhere.
You can enable or disable tilt steering at any time in the Options screen.
3. Analytics and Advertising
The App contains no analytics, no crash reporting, and no advertising SDKs. We do not track usage behavior or display any advertisements.
5. Children's Privacy
RETRO SKI is rated PEGI 3 / ESRB Everyone and is suitable for all ages. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
6. Data Security
Local save data is protected by a SHA-256 checksum to prevent tampering. Since no data is transmitted to external servers, there is no network-related security risk from using the App.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
